A building’s foundation is built over time, piece by piece. The same is true with a charitable organization. Community members helped lay the groundwork in the past by supporting individual programs – like Meals on Wheels and the Pioneers Health Foundation (formerly called Marvine Ranch) Cancer Screening Fund – and through funding of Pioneers Medical Center as a non-profit hospital.
We’ve seen that together we can make a difference. And that was the inspiration to create the Pioneers Healthcare Foundation to illuminate lives for generations and inspire quality healthcare – and most importantly, hope – in an organized, sustainable and meaningful way into the future. The needs in Rio Blanco County continue to grow, ranging from the challenges of recruiting quality healthcare professionals to the increased demand for home health and support services to specific wellness or treatment programs to ensure the health of our community members.
